Baby Dylan

We had our first newborn shoot back in July. We had originally planned our shoot for late July, but Dylan came early and we were able to get photos just a week after he was born. He is so cute and we had a lot of fun. Congrats to the happy family!

Gabi & Jason’s Wedding Part I

I met Gabi during my freshman year of college. We endured the very tiny dorm rooms and then were residential advisors (RA) together during our senior year. Gabi was our photographer for our wedding rehearsal and rehearsal dinner. Jay and I were honored to shoot Gabi and Jason’s wedding. They are both amazing folks and we’re so excited that they’re sticking around Philly!

Cheryl & Skye’s Engagement Session

We shot Cheryl & Skye’s engagement photos down at Penn’s Landing, along the Delaware River in Philly. While we were down at Penn’s Landing, we found a crew working on the deck of a big boat and Skye asked if we could go aboard and take some pictures. They let us, and it made for some really great shots! After wandering around Penn’s Landing, we headed up to Franklin Square (a park in the Northeast part of Center City with a carousel) to finish of the shoot. We are excited to shoot Cheryl & Skye’s wedding this weekend! Congrats!

Matt & Anne-Cara’s Wedding

Kerith and I have known Matt and Anne-Cara since the beginning of college, shot their engagement session back in October of last year, and were excited to shoot their wedding on May 8. They were the first very couple to ever book us-even before we were officially Overjoyed Photography! Their ceremony & reception were at Tenth Presbyterian Church in Center City, Philadelphia. Their ceremony was very sweet & Matt even wrote an organ piece for Anne-Cara that was played during the ceremony. After the reception we walked with them to their hotel and snapped some more shots of them during a crazy freak wind storm! Congrats and thanks so much for your patience! You guys are awesome.

Emily & Shaun’s Engagement Session

We shot Emily & Shaun’s engagement session a few weeks ago, and I will be shooting their wedding next weekend at Renewal Presbyterian Church in West Philly! For their session, we started out in Clark Park and worked our way westward down Baltimore Ave. (also in West Philly). We ended the session in the garden owned by the Mariposa Co-op. We had a lot of fun shooting and are very excited for your wedding!

Gabi & Jason's Engagement Session

We put up a preview photo a while back for Gabi & Jason’s engagement session. Kerith and I have been friends with Gabi since her freshman year of college, so we were both very excited when she and Jason asked us to photograph her wedding in July. For their engagement session, we went to Valley Forge National Park, about a half hour outside of Philly. We had a great time with the shoot and are looking forward to their wedding in North Jersey in six weeks!

I’ve also been trying to shoot a little more on film lately. Four of the pictures in this post are on film. Can you figure out which ones?

Jeremy & Rebecca's Wedding: Part I

Jeremy and Rebecca were married on March 27 at Tenth Presbyterian Church in Philadelphia. They got ready at the Hyatt Regency at Penn’s Landing, and their reception was at Richmond Hall, also in Philadelphia. We got too many great shots for just one post, so they’ll be coming in three posts. The first post is shots from getting ready (both at the Hyatt and at the church) and a few detail shots. Enjoy, and check back soon for more photos from the ceremony and reception!

Rebecca's shoes. She had two pairs and decided on wearing these versus a white pair. So pretty!

Each bridesmaid wore a different colored dress and Rebecca got them coordinating flowers for their hair and jewelry. They looked amazing!

She was the most relaxed bride-to-be, and spent a lot of the time dancing around while getting ready.

All of Rebecca's jewelry used to be her grandmother's.
